No, but judging the admin/moderation is absolutely fair game and a massive red flag towards bias. |

As far as comments sections on linked articles go, reddit has some of the best. There is plenty of fact-checking, arguing of different viewpoints, etc. And most trash gets sifted to the bottom via down votes. I get most of my news from a combination of The Economist, BBC News, Politico, and Al Jazeera English. However I approach everything with a huge helping of salt... I doubt in the rigorousness of news reporting. People make mistakes, ir even make stuff up all the time. |

One has to be careful of how to define "bias". Unless you are using the term to refer to very extreme cases, everything is biased by definition. Reddit has lots of sub-reddits and not all of them are modded in the same way. Some of them are more than enough for me, specially because every time I look into a different source, I realise that I have already read all the headlines in Reddit. |

I'm sure you like having the same cabal in charge of every subreddit you use -and- the subreddits that may harbor disagreement with those. |

I get my news from reddit and local news from twitter, I prefer reading the news rather than watching videos, it just seems boring and slow to me. like cipher I take everything with a helping of salt. |

News is not for me. I kinda find out about stuff from what people talk about or what shows up in Youtube videos I watch. |

I'm not surprised. It's hard in today's age to find reliable news. Everyone claims they take it with salt but if everyone did, bias wouldn't work and the public wouldn't fall for it. But they do. Every time. |

Bias isn't a binary thing, everything will be biased is someway suggesting that it's possible to over come it seems to me to be a misunderstanding of its nature. Everything that everyone says is inherently determined by that persons experiences and understanding of the world, and that makes it biased. It's something that we must understand and take into account to what degree we can, but the idea that any one person could move beyond it is an over simplification. We cannot observe everything and judge it logically so we have to believe things we can't observe ourselves and take some sources on there word while disregarding others. |
