I know we all have different restaurants where we live, but I'm curious as to what your favorites are, how much you eat out, and what we have in common. <3

We eat out every so often, more than we should maybe but we're usually busy and don't always have time to cook and have to grab stuff quickly. There's lots of yummy local food here, especially Mediterranean food but they've recently opened up some locally owned pizza places, a bbq place, and thai food!

My favorites are a place called N&J's Cafe just down the street that makes amazing gyros. For more mainstream stuff, I love Noodles & Co. :D Their pesto cavatappi is my favorite.

Tomorrow I'm going for lunch with a friend to Old Mill Tasty Shop, which is an old-style diner with sammiches and daily specials and really good strawberry limeades and milkshakes.

When ever me and Diem are in town we got the 'the rat café'. It's actually called the Nexus Art Café, but the first time we went there they had a huge paper mache rat in the window, so that's what we call it. They still have it, but its not in the window anymore.

You walk down the stairs from ground level and there's art on the walls and then in the café proper it's all trendy and independent with a mismatch of furniture and things. We like going there because it makes us feel arty, also it's right next to the comic book/manga/board game shop that we always go to. The food is ok and it's quite cheap, I think they also act as an alcohol free place to socialise on Friday nights, though we've never been then.

There's a local place called the Picnic Basket right next to work. Huge sandwiches, so worth their slightly higher price. Also you can pay 7 bucks for like a square foot of frenches covered in cheese with two containers of ranch to dip or cover them with. If I order a sandwich and the fries, I'm usually still eating the fries the next day.

Red Lobster is my favorite though.

Hehe miva's a hipster now?? :P

My favorite is a bar called black lotus. They brew their own beer in the back, but they offer the standard liquor as well. Their food is amazing. Anything fried comes out perfectly, and they actually use real cheese for their burgers (lol) and their burgers are juicy and delicious.

We honestly don't have much in terms of restaurants, 'cus I live in such a small town. There's a McDonalds, a Burger King, and an Arbies, but I don't like fast food very much and very rarely eat there. 90% of everything else is pizza places, but only one of them has gluten free pizza and it's like $14 without toppings, so we don't eat there much either.

The only real place is note is the Chinese restuarant, and we usually get take-out from there on the first Tuesday of every month.

There's a lot of Indian and French restaurants where I am, but they are quite expensive. Chinese are cheaper. But the typical thing is to go to a pub, where they have menus with a bit of everything. Then you have fast-foods: McDonalds, Taylor's (sandwiches), are the most seen.

That said, I rarely eat in any of these, except when I have guests. Normally I cook Mediterranean for myself, and when I am pleased on time, I go to the university canteen or to a small shop close to my home where they make the most amazing sandwiches in the world. You eat one, you don't have to eat again in the whole day.

Oh, sorry. I forgot that sentence was there... I deleted it. I was referring to the small sandwich shop. The name is 'On the Hoof'
