I love spending time with my dad! He's great and I love that he's always around and I can see him whenever I want. Very thankful for that. In this thread talk about your dads and what they do. My dad is an engineer at a company that manufactures digital and interactive menu boards and kiosks. |

My dad does who the fuck knows. I can probably measure the amount of time he has interacted with me my entire life in days. He was in the navy for a while and I do thank him greatly for that and the insurance I got from it. Then he was into racecars for a while, think he was a mechanic, and for a while we know he was just a grave digger. He may be back into cars now, got a (declined) friend invite from his second wife (he never married my mom), and had a lot of cars in the pictures of him there. |

My dad is nice, fairly quiet, good-natured. He's got his vices and I don't approve of a lot of his lifestyle choices, but he loves me even if we have little in common. He works a desk job. I know who he works for but honestly not much about what he does day to day. |

My dad works a desk-job with a company that does stuff with natural gas. He's alright, though I can't help but say I like my mom more. I don't see him a ton since I live with my mom, but I'm usually there a few days a month. |

I love my dads as well. Had a shaky relationship with one, but it's coming along fine now that I'm older and more in sync with him. My first dad's realistic and very blunt, and we like to joke around when it's called for. He obviously cares about me because he helps whenever he possibly can. He's not very affectionate when it comes to emotions; like, he doesn't know how to "deal with tears" and can't connect on that level. Still, he's a cool dude and really wants me (and my sister and brother) to succeed. Right now, he's retired bus driver over 30 years of service and is attending college for a degree that I haven't bothered asking him about yet, lol. My second dad's down-to-earth, and I'll say is a work-acholic. Been working since he was 15 and hasn't stopped to slow down or anything. I'm concerned about him, of course. He served the military for 30+ years himself, and retired E-9 but works with a company that is contracted to the military, so it's like he never "left" that. He's kind of straightforward and has a one-track mind. Gotta keep reminding him of upcoming events or he'll miss them. He's also one of those dad's that has a cell phone but never answers it. He understands video games, and sometimes plays them, and Pokemon (to a HEAVY extent, due to me always playing it and my younger sister following). Both are devoted men of God and I love them very much. Wouldn't trade anything else in the world for them. |
