Catman's Ambition Plan MK1; Otherwise there's not much point in being a living person.

I need to stop being lazy and actually do a thing for once. Such as...

IN TWENTY-FIFTEEN:

1. Upon Mars hopefully winning this points season I shall stop once and for all because I'm addicted to this, and it's not good for for me. It's making me feel bad for not doing things that other people don't do anyway (Compulsively posting in every new thread, posting everywhere just because, entering pretty much every game etc), when really I have no valid reason for feeling bad. My extremely competitive nature does not need to be tempered by this silly points system! You just had to fucking ruin it for me huh?

2. Actually be healthy. I've stopped eating fruit and vegetables, but they're supposed to be pretty good for you. Not much point in exercising if I'm not eating well right? And I'm gonna need a good diet to build the muscle I want to become the manly man I aspire to be.
- I've also got a couple habits that I really need to stop.

3. Shower and shave at least every two days without exception! Because I tend to not bother on tuesday nights when I have wednesday and thursday off. In holidays I tend to stop completely...
- I need to get my facial hair to grow out enough so I can actually pull off styles (Even if the style is 5 o'clock shadow) because facial hair is important to being manly.

4. Visit Dad more and talk to Mum more.
- Use this computer less for procrastinating and more for productive things. Do things other than sitting here all day every day doing nothing much. Even if it's playing video games, I procrastinate even doing that (THAT'S HOW LAZY I AM). Bonus points if it's gaming on my poor dust-covered consoles.
- Watch less Youtube videos, unsubscribe from a lot of people and stop stacking a lot of videos in the Watch Later list every day.

5. Sort out my laziness weakened ankle and knee joints, especially in time for April when I have the practise DofE expedition.
- Start to actually get fit, be able to run for a while. Start to actually get strong, be able to lift a reasonable amount for a fair few sets of reps. Be ready for martial arts!

6. Rebuild the social skills I've lost over the past 3/4 years, by doing the DofE stuff regularly. And somehow find other things to do rather than just consider them. I'm going to be doing college's Chess club as my 6 month non-physical skill. It will be interesting.

7. Learn as much programming stuff as I possibly can, and learn it well. Then learn even more. Then spend time practising it whilst here at my computer. Develop some cool stuff that makes the spreadsheet stuff I did look like primary school level rubbish.

8. Wear clothes other than plain t-shirts and jeans, and start forming my own style. This may be hard since finding my own style will likely be cramped by my mum being the one buying me stuff, what she thinks is odd becomes awkward for me to explain since I don't like explaining myself, I'm not good at that. I shouldn't really have to explain myself but after all she is the one with the money.

9. Write down my ideas when I have them. Plan things I think I might want to do even if I don't end up doing them. Talk to people about my ideas and plans so I can get info and feedback to improve them with.

10. Stay up no later than midnight ever.
- Never get up later than midday ever.
- Get dressed every morning.

11. Stop crossing my legs when sat at my chair. It's not good for them.

Failing this is the equivalent of dying. I've wasted enough time already, and there's not much point in living to waste even more!

Catman, these are all really wonderful and useful goals, and I'm insanely impressed with you for taking a good look at yourself and being able to discern them. That's hard for everybody. ^_^

I wish you the best of luck and offer you any support I can, even if it is just really loud cheering!

I don't really find it hard because I'm able to just say these things and feel nothing. I have really bad empathy for myself as well as everything in general.

I am putting my foot down though. I will be twenty in february! If by the end of 2015 I have failed then I will openly accept and require the universe to end my life.

I would be lying if I was not. This is it. Do or die.

Like I said, not much point in living if I'm just going to be wasting time that I don't have time to waste. Either I end the year with my glorious ambition achieved, or I end the year with less than nothing at all.

Catman, that's...look, I love that this is your ambition and I think you should very seriously do your best to achieve it. But to give up on life entirely if you don't achieve it is...awful. You have so many years of life so you CAN accomplish your goals, and if it takes longer or shorter sometimes, that's okay, but it doesn't mean it all needs to be over if you don't do it in a specific amount.

You're reading too much 'He thinks he might fail' into my posts.

I'm going to do this so well that it will validate the over 20 years I would have been alive for.

after having someone really close to me almost die like that, I take those things really seriously.

I care a lot about you, Catman. I have every confidence you'll succeed. It's just...a really dangerous attitude, I guess. And it scares me.

That's just my personality I guess. Gotta risk it all to win big.

And I shall not lose! I'll keep on winning, and I'll never die!

Progress:
- Managed to consciously avoid attacking my face since last night when I promised myself I'd stop.
- Cut my Youtube subscription count down from 66 to 28, a lot of them were people who didn't upload much if anything at all but yeah.
- Sorted through my Favourites bar and removed any website I didn't ever use or need to use if I still visited it, logged out of these websites if necessary too. Two of them were on my rota being: Romhack.me (Which was basically the same as Facebook just a little bit more interesting since I'd visit the site to flick people back and delete redundant pages people make for no reason) and Temple of Kraden (Because I never really did much, I mean I made over 200 posts but I wasn't taking part in anything worthwhile).
- Uninstalled every Steam game I have that I don't play, don't intend to play, or don't need.
- Put a handful of websites into my router's parental control blocker. They all redirect to google now. While I could turn this off by logging in to the router, it is too annoying to do so since the password field doesn't let you submit by pressing enter.

Things to do:
- Take the drawings I have up on my corkboard down, dust them off and put them into my drawings box with the others, where they belong.
- Play and actually enjoy TF2 for once in probably over a year.

2/1/2015
Progress:
- Cleared out my Skype contacts of groups that are dead and people I never speak to
- Clear out my Steam friends list of people I don't talk to.
- Take the drawings I have up on my corkboard down, dust them off and put them into my drawings box with the others, where they belong.
-

Things to do:
- Visit my dad to give him some VHS tapes he left behind, and also to scold him about what he did to our garage a few weeks back.
- Shower and shave tonight so that it's in sync for sunday when I would normally shower and shave.
-
3/1/2015
Progress:
- Got my shower/shave cycle in sync. Going back to college next week.
- From around 3pm today I will be able to use the keys I bought in TF2 last week (They added a week long untradeable status for anything bought from the MannCo store or Steam Community Market :c), with these keys I will be able to buy the last weapon (As far as I know) I need to complete my Unique weapon collection :3
-

Things to do:
- Visit my dad to give him some VHS tapes he left behind, and also to scold him about what he did to our garage a few weeks back. (He wasn't in yesterday... and also wasn't today...)

How is your dad by the way? Hope he is doing alright, you mentioned he was injured at some point a while back.

Anyways keep it up, and getting the ideas and goals typed/written is a great move!

Haven't seen him since that time before christmas. The problem he has is bone build-up in his legs, took them ages to do the xrays and will take ages to operate on each leg individually which will leave him with a recovery period of over 3 months. It's super likely that he's going to lose his job because of it.

Anyway, from now on these updates will be weekly since I'll have less time to be on the site due to college. So the date I put is the day I updated, the progress will be for the current week and the things to do will be for the following week.

4/1/2015
Progress:
- A lot of things I guess. Wasn't a full week though.

Things to do:
- Be ready for going back to college tomorrow before 10pm (Including being ready to go to bed).
- Visit my dad to give him some VHS tapes he left behind, and also to scold him about what he did to our garage a few weeks back.
- Go talk to the DofE people to follow up on the Chess stuff to do as my non-physical skill for 6 months.
- Go talk to the work placement officer about the opportunity that has come up in the town I am moving to. (Dell Software have an office literally 5 minutes away, only problem would be finding how to get there considering the main road in between us).
- Talk to the learning support head officer to catch up on things and tell her about the Apprenticeship idea.
- Try walking and jogging again at the gym, but keep at it this time.
- Apply to Dell Software for work experience.
- Speak to the work based education... person about apprenticeships next week with the learning support officer.
- Await Dell Software's reply to my application.
-
11/1/2015
Progress:
- Got back into my sleeping pattern.
- Visited my dad and caught up on things.
- Met the person who will be teaching me chess for my DofE non-physical skill.
- Applied for work experience, got turned down for being too good for what they had to offer. Met a cover teacher who said his own company is offering work experience placements through the college, he runs a games dev company with a college buddy.
- Started to jog more at the gym, trying to rebuild the capabilities I had before the holidays.
- Caught up with the learning support officer, and I'll be going with her to speak to the person who deals with apprenticeships on tuesday.
-

Things to do:
- Speak to the work placement officer about this company the teacher mentioned.
- Speak to the work based education... person about apprenticeships next week with the learning support officer.
- Be ready to move house by the weekend!
