My pick would be SERIOUSLY(why is it in all-caps anyway?), but I get the feeling it's going to fall into MIDDLE or SILLY at some point regardless.

By the way, why are those 3 words all-caps? Seriously, it gets weird having to yell a word for no reason mid sentence.

:...:
:mia: Pokemon and Mardek. That is all you need to know and the former is why we fought a war.

:mia: At any rate. If we're going to start this game seriously, then we need to decide who the major factions will be!

Do you want Anemos, Prox, Lemuria, me (Mia), Alex, and the Wise One as competitors? Are there any of those you would rather prioritize or rather not have present?

This seems like it would be the most fun if it started out SERIOUSLY, though like Delfes, I maintain a healthy skepticism towards its ability to remain that way. And that's okay.

:...:
:mia: An appropriate position.

:mia: Given that this is serious, I think we can compact the factions a little for logical origin purposes. I will be summoned by Lemuria, Alex will...something, somebody, Proxians, whatever, the Wise One will be a shoe-in for invited magus, and the Anemosians will send their own legend.

:><:
:mia: Of course, since that's only 4 of the minimum 7 recommended 8, we have at least 3 more custom characters to involve plus a ruler who will have to be dealt with too, or dip into extra classes and/or give each team multiple servants to avoid necessitating some regicide. Should we invoke more original characters, have teams, or both?

I could see both being a thing. It could make interesting scenarios. Who's to say both servants in one faction would agree? For all we know they unknowingly summoned death-sworn enemies in the same team. Or some random OC(or not) schmuck got picked for the war for some godforsaken reason nobody knows about.

Whichever could turn out interesting.

:mia: Calculating...Ding. Let's just go Grand Orders and Apocrypha and the other thing and have an excessive amount of Servants lying around. Here's a preemptive roster proposal of those available and relatively likely to have stories written for, and while we might not decide to include everybody they're a good idea of who would have first pick at at catalysts for reasons that would be spoilers to explain.

:mia: In this messed-up world, many minor characters in-story went on to become powerful heroes, especially during the really nasty bits just after Dark Dawn that did a lot of things we don't know well. You also really do not want to know what happened when Sheba and Ivan finally made it to Anemos.

:...:
:mia: Also, nearly everyone died in the nasty apocalypse we will not mention in detail, and it's been a few generations since that, with only probably Lemuria having any recognizable people.

Lemuria Roster
Mia (Double summon as Archer and Caster, why Archer is involved will be revealed shortly), mastered by King Hydros
Babi (Assassin), mastered by Lunpa
Poseidon (Lancer), mastered by Conservato
Piers (Rider), mastered by [Lemurian OC]
Rief (Caster), mastered by [Lemurian OC]
Yepp (Rider), mastered by [Lemurian OC]

Prox Roster
Isaac (Saber), mastered by Alex
Amiti (Archer), mastered by [Proxian OC]
Saturos (Saber), mastered by [Proxian OC]
Menardi (Lancer), mastered by [Proxian OC]
Karst (Berserker), mastered by [Proxian OC]
Agatio (Berserker), mastered by [Proxian OC]
Felix (Saber), mastered by [Proxian OC]

Anemos Roster
Sheba (Caster), mastered by [Star Priest(ess?) Anemosian OC]
Ivan (Caster), mastered by [Sun Priest(ess?) Anemosian OC]
Atalanta (Archer), mastered by [Wolf Priest(ess?) Anemosian OC]
Yegelos (Saber), mastered by [Anemosian OC]
Hoabna (Caster), mastered by [Anemos Monitoring Office OC]
Sveta (Berserker), mastered by [Anemosian OC]

Additional Servants
Ulysses (Caster), mastered by the Wise One
Ramses (Archer), mastered by [someone]
Kraden (Berserker), mastered by [someone]
Jenna (Ruler), masterless
-
Probably unused servants we could swap out or add in

:?:
:alex: Why are some of these peopl-

:grr:
:mia: DO NOT QUESTION IT. But yeah, the Caster excess is also a problem. We might need to change jar plans.

:...:
:alex: That's not what I-

:mars:
:mia: I SAID SHUT UP!

:...:
:mia: Also, I just had a wonderful idea I'm retconning into place. Oktoberfest! We'll have the Alex manipulate the Anemosians into manipulating the Lemurians into accepting assassination missions in place of a full-war, but then have the full-war happen anyways!

:frown:
:alex: Why did you sweatdrop, yet use a happy expression?

:mia: Telling you would be spoilers. Now, thoughts on the roster?
:alex: Right, now for the hard part. Picking game pieces. Does anyone, uh, have an opinion as to what any slot labeled OC should be filled with, in any level of detail?

I'm personally a fan of having all sorts of people involved when lots of characters are needed, So I wouldn't have every single character be highly knowledgeable about the war with a clear goal expected from winning it. With that in mind:

I think it would be fun if the master who summons Agatio didn't really care about the war and was just in it for the fighting. He was told Agatio was a strong warrior who punched people with fire, thought it would be cool to fight side by side with him and accepted to summon him(say with one of the gauntlets or something). Result: he got Agatio as a berserker.

It would be interesting to see Hoabna unknowingly summoned by an incompatible master. Since we don't really know anything about him beyond shamans thinking all warriors should be male, having him be summoned by a woman who insists on also fighting and not just standing on the sidelines and watching could be funny.

I'd say Saturos and Menardi's masters would definitely know what they're getting into and be knowledgeable about the war(and thus would get along well enough with them), and Karst maybe being summoned by a gravekeeper who was briefed on the war and the role they would have in it, while not quite knowing as much as Saturos and Menardi's masters. The person volunteered, thought the scythe artifact was fitting for them and ended up summoning Karst with it.

Mmmh... That's a lot of Proxians in one go and nearly nothing of the others... Maybe have Piers' master be prone to seasickness for master incompatibility issues again?

PROX COUNCILROOM, DAY 0

Posted Image

Alex felt out of it, but seemed composed, if a bit sweaty. This would be the first time since he'd done...that...and took Isaac out of this world, and...done that to his body, just after...No. All of this planning for ages. No time for lost horrors and his true form beneath all the disguises and what used to be a man from Imil who still came back through him once in a while. The man from Imil corrupted with the thing that had killed him and took his form would be quite happy to preside for him. Even if it felt like he'd just done everything but one room over...

The text of the sunken city flipped through the pages, floating there on its own. The assembled masters-to-be of Team Prox watched with various levels of interest.

The spellbook lurched on its own. Spiritual magic, a forbidden art passed to him by Richard, who stood there, cloaked mysteriously, keeping the book firmly here and now.

The catalyst he'd kept just in case this stupid thing ever happened. A hairball, coughed up after- Not thinking about where it came from. You are Alex of Imil and you are doing this.

He chanted the relevant thing, the power of the Golden Sun he had completed in such an unholy matter by taking the powers of darkness and light and that last bit of Isaac oh god why did you pick Isaac what is wrong with you what is wrong with you-

He finished speaking. The command seals tattooed themselves onto his right arm, Isaac solidified and oh god-

Face to face he was quite bitter.

"You!" Isaac cried out, the unspeakable rage and horror and horrific things of one confronting-

The following scene has been censored. The following scene has been redacted. The following scene has been unmade. The following scene has CTHULHU FHTAGN

Alex parried the Sol Blade with a glove of white energy simply grabbing it, blocking one of the most powerful weapons of the world wielded with the full screaming strength of someone far stronger than he was in life. The energy of Jupiter surged through him and did something horrific that the arch-witch of storms herself only barely touched.

Alex overwhelmed Alex. Alex overwhelmed Isaac. Isaac pulled back, sheathed the blade, and sat down, before standing beside Alex, bowing with an expression that can be described as the cold stare of someone with no will to stare at you, then disappearing into energy.

"Sorry about that." the smooth-talking Alex said. "That was a ton of different kinds of impossible, and-"

Richard retconned the scene again. Alex will do it right this time, okay honey?

Alex was okay. Alex was okay. Alex was totally okay and only a complete monster and not whatever that was. Alex will obey.

He finished speaking. The command seals tattooed themselves onto his right arm, Isaac solidified and oh god-

Alex solidly mind-controlled Isaac. Can't have history get in the way before we get started.

"Do what you would have if I hadn't done that to you and then murdered you brutally." he said under his breath and through his mind.

Isaac stared at his hands in wonderment for a moment. He existed. He existed.

"So this is what accepting a contract is like, huh..." Isaac commented, somewhere between intrigue and wonder. He looked up, scanned the room. "Prox again? Man, you guys are never gonna believe what the Throne's like."

"And here we have proof of concept of the miracles the Sun Grail provides just to let you try for it." Alex said. "This here is Isaac of Vale, returned from the dead. You'll notice I've used the Saber class container for him."

Richard gestured forward, Alex and Isaac moving away from the summoning circle to allow for the others to step forward.

The table of prepared catalysts awaited. Veriti's locket, for Amiti. Karst's scythe. Most of one of Agatio's gauntlets. A scale off Saturos. A piece of Menardi's scythe. He'd gone through hell and high water to get these. And a piece of Felix's hair. What was it with protagonist hair...

A pretentious high-end Mars adept grabbed Agatio's gauntlet. He was compatible-ish, a blue drake not unlike a younger, skinnier Saturos. "This dude punched people with fire, right?"

"Um, yeah. Dude's Agatio, remember him from history lessons?" Isaac said sassily. "Dude nearly shot me and Ivan straight off the lighthouse with a few Rising Dragons. Pchoooo."

Isaac mimed a casting motion and then getting punched in the face. Well, better sass and exuberance than revenge killing. Mind control worked like a charm, without any of that stupid zombifying down. Whew. Hopefully he wouldn't have to reveal his and Richard's godlike powers in full until the end.

"This is hardly a nerf." Iael complained from the warmth and security of snuggled firmly in a blanket. "Richard's never seriously displayed full retcon grace before, even at his better."

"I do what I want." Mia said simply.

Richard shrugged without objection, too focused on piloting his piece-self to care.

"Hi I'm Riband let's get me a cool spirit dude." the future master of Agatio said quickly and casually, sliding up alongside Richard and making a disgusted face upon seeing the incomprehensible texts of the Sunken City that Richard was muttering about.

Alex groaned a little at the severe casuality of it all. These people were probably going to die, and they were cheery. "Set the gauntlet in the center then and recite what Richard tells you to. You've got the absurd psynergy reserves that work for a Berserker, like they're actually catching up to what Isaac had in his prime and what I have now."

This was not even a lie, the man felt like he was the reincarnated Mars Star or something, like he could've burned Imil to the waterline from the apex of Mercury Lighthouse without even being drained, yeesh. So much power, he'd been recruited out the gate with barely the full details.

Riband recited the ritual from the paper Alex passed him with barely restrained glee, the Throne sending down an emanation of Agatio who roared with-

Barely even Mad Enhancement, I mean really. He was hulking and looked angry, but seemed to soften on seeing his master, who held out his left hand in greeting to watch the command seals engrave.

Agatio firmly reached out and shook that hand, leading his Master aside to have a short talk about the Grail War and cheating around psynergy conveyance with that sheer power. Alex smirked and then realized his deceased son would probably be doing that too and then tried to scrub the image from his head. Ew.

Kars Gravelord, an old bearded man balding and white-haired, dressed in the black robes of someone who had just come from a funeral, gently picked up Karst's scythe, then lay it in the summoning assembly.

"This one." he said. "She reminds me of someone I once loved."

A budding alchemical hermit, that retired graveyard keeper was. Talented enough to pay for a second Berserker.

Richard nodded solemnly and handed him the aria. Kars said it in a wavering voice, as if taken with emotion to see wonders. Karst came back in flame and witnessed Kars holding his arm up in defense against the flaming woman wielding her scythe once more, then smiled as he received his command seals, gesturing to follow her to the side for a chat.

Feisty, Alex thought. How approvable. Yarsnil mother of Aeons this could take ages, sweet Kegnarfl blood of the fallen.

The rest of the summons went without incident. Adder Bellview, a young Venus drake with a strong talent for curing grabbed Saturos as a Saber, while his similarly brown twin sister Aya Bellview grabbed Menardi as a Lancer. One pair joined another without much comment, but many smiles at returning to the fray.

Felix came back coldly and curtly. What had passed between them was well-known and old news anyway. "My sister's Ruler for this war." he said to Alex coldly as he took the hand of Dalia Goth, a human black-haired girl with fierce red eyes, wearing a brown parka, who had come north and east from Kalt first to witness the glories of Mars Lighthouse firsthand, and then for this war, as she was a talented incinerator. "Expect no mercy if anyone breaks the rules."

"Jenna won't care." Alex said sweetly, sticking his tongue out for a moment at the next Saber.

And now for the last one. A Jupiter adept from Kalt as well, Bert Alma, pale blue eyes, blonde, short and a bit on the fat side. He took Amiti as Archer, with this cute expression of awe. Iris, that was cute.

MOUNT ALEPH, DAY 0

[REDACTED]

Jenna didn't bother with a vessel. She didn't need one. She was as God. Eh, this war was nothing like the real one anyway. Servants would keep memories of previous summonings if they tried, the counts were all off, people used a jar repeatedly...She probably wouldn't enforce anything unless it threatened the grail. Who cared. She was here. She sat on the golden rock and watched the Wise One lecture Ulysses.

We still have Anemos Team, Lemuria Team, Ramses, and Kraden to deal with. SO, like, seasick dude for Piers and a warlady for Hoabna, but, who else?

fun fact: if you look closely at the Golden Sun War servant count, you'll see that there are just enough servants for 3 whole holes to akasha if everybody but Jenna and 1 servant dies, meaning an extremely pyrrhic victory or a non-teamed person's complete and utter victory to the end can get world-core access and two bonus wishes, plus a bit more if one or more is 'within the limits of the world' for only costing 6 souls instead of 7 or if one or more is 'within the limits of established limits of psynergy and/or the extremely warped Third Magic & Friends that compose the ritual' to the point it might take a soul if it explicitly wants to bring a relevant Servant back from the grail jar but is otherwise just on the grail's golden sun Reserve (tm). Of course, that requires (re-)killing like 21 people...
ALAYA MITDIR OMEYOCAN (LOOSELY 'HUMANITY WITH YOU IN DOUBLE'), ANEMOS LIGHTHOUSE SUMMIT CHAMBER, DAY 0

The King of Anemos, K'uhul Ajaw, watched from his throne grimly, his solar helm radiant and the scepter of life warm in his right hand. Queen Metztli watched from her throne, her veiling moon crown hiding her expression totally beneath purple cloth as she petted the white silky fur of her pet cat, watching the proceedings that would most likely damn them all to Hell and then some, or possibly be really cool. Either worked.

"Halach uinik". Ahuacan-Sulnara addressed him. "Ahuacans Life, Stars, Wind, Lightning, Luna, and Wolf have sent their delegates, as have I."

"Oh?" Ajaw mused, letting his steely expression soften to stony. "Lovely. Who is proposed?"

"Sacrificer Ahzi of Sulnara will take the Heretic Visitor Ivan as 'caster'. Seeress-water Yaretzi of Stars will take the Thrown Down Sheba, also as 'caster'. Actor Bonita Herminia of Wolf will take East Goddess Atalanta, as 'archer'. Shaman Fidelia of Wind will take honored hero Yegelos, as 'Saber'. Monitor Faro of Lightning will take honored foe Hoabna as 'caster'."

"You mentioned Ahuacan-Life sent a delegate?" Ajaw noted.

Ahuacan-Sulnara sighed extremely and bowed his head. "Yes, K'uhul. Ahuacan-Life has sent Curer Pabiola."

The background music (which hadn't existed in the first place) stopped.

Everyone stopped for a second in shock, then grimaced mildly with disapproval. Ajaw gripped his staff. Metztli stopped petting her cat momentarily, who had adopted an expression of supreme disapproval directed at Ahuacan-Sulnara for being the bearer of bad news.

Eclipse himself, the dragon roosting in the upper rows of the tower behind the king, stuck his head down in abject confusion, tilting slightly to convey 'what the hell did you just say?'

Curer Pabiola's reputation preceded her. A little girl whose luck could be summarized as 'weaponized Murphy's law', whom the entire damn moon was vaguely afraid of.

"I know I said to send expendables," Ajaw said, "But I thought we had decided not to try and blow up Weyard."

"She's not THAT bad....or destructive..." Ahuacan-Sulnara lied extremely, glancing aside. "Better all Lemuria and Prox than all Anemos."

Speaking of destroying Anemos, the entire moon seemed to tilt ever so slightly, as if it had been damaged by some massive explosion that had torn through the lower support engines, before righting itself. Eclipse made a tiny fear-roar and considered taking flight. Ajaw did not falter, seeing as most of the accidental mass destruction was reversed by thousands of high-grade restoration enchantments and hover jade growths keeping the entire city aloft.

Curer Pabiola walked in, confidently twirling a severed old-looking braid. The other candidates filed in behind her, absolutely terrified and several looking mildly toasted, holding their catalysts like charms of protection against a witchy foe.

The summoning assembly was teleported in special by Ahuacan-Sulnara, and everyone gave Pabiola as much space as possible as she recited the summons.

Half-expecting the city-moon to be cleft in twain or the multiverse to explode, Ajaw sighed with relief as rather than the planned great beast-fusion of shadow only a berserking Sveta emerged, howling with rage and confusion.

Pabiola's unrealistic psynergy reserves barely had their regeneration dented by the drain of something so phenomenally expensive. Even Yaretzi's oceanbending Mercury powers outstripping the Lemurians of legend, Bonita's earth-shaking Venus, and Fidelia's tornadoes seemed in that moment weak. Except maybe for if they'd added that Thrown Down Riband drake Alex had sent a description of in the sarcastic invitation that had prompted the use of this hidden superweapon of ancient times. Yeesh, Pabiola was terrifying, and Ajaw blamed her presence for leading to the Throwing Down of an entire drake clan, a hypothetical legend of Mars on par with the others, as a sacrifice to the gods to make up for having accidentally murdered Ehecatl himself no less than nine times with massive explosions in key machinery in a way that was completely untraced, but everyone just sort of blamed it on her.

The beastfolk surrounded by tornado was suddenly tackled into a hug by Pabiola. And it was terrifying. The flighty brown-haired innocent-looking lavender-eyed girl in the green robes of a Curer seemed to have far more power than even this rampaging beast, and everyone knew it. She was probably some high-ranking archdevil or whoever just pretending to be human.

The rest of the summons went off without a hitch, though Eclipse had to gently scoot Sveta and Pabiola the hell away.

"Ladies and gentlemen." one of Ahuacan-Sulnara's djinn attendants said, a portly Venus spirit of the sound of rocks clacking or something. "We will now announce the battle plans!"

THRONE OF HEROES, DAY 0, LINEARIZED AVALON (PROJ. GENSOKYO DREAM-TRAIL)

One by one, the called-for spirits had emanated out of the land of the fairies and into existence proper, the last few meditating in wait for synchronization so as to keep up with themselves better. The core of the Sun Grail, a little sun without bothering, spoke in otherworldly languages as it thought out loud, impenetrably senseless as it was speaking the language of a different kind of souls.

Isaac muttered a lot of offensive things, very annoyed at the emanation of himself for being so easily manipulated, and at Sveta for having rage issues, and for the Wise One for summoning Ulysses of all people, and Atalanta for existing in so many worlds, and...ugh, it was untenable. He fell over and made a loud noise of complaint, to which the Sun Grail took on the form of Veriti ignoring him, because it wasn't technically the Grail's job to do anything about it so it would not be forwarded to Ruler, and Jenna was far too busy properly to be sought out otherwise, so Isaac just had to deal with Alex doing horrible things to him, again.

Nearby Feizhi phased into existence along with Piers' mother, who was visiting from the conventional afterlife, to wish Piers well in the impending war. While this happened and Isaac went over to deal with it, Karst and Agatio suddenly realized the large amount of Berserkers and Sabers, several of whom happened to be on the same team, was going to make hiding untenable.

"What the narrator said." Karst brought up. "We're not screwed hiding our cool and new secret Noble Phantasms from each other, but identity is like, hardly gonna be secret even from the people who've never met."

"FIRST NAME BASIS OKAY WITH EVERYBODY?!" Agatio shouted to the assembly of heroic spirits.

Assorted cries of "Yeah whatever!" resounded back.

Looks like this war would be heavy on the whole 'countermeasures' thing.

OLD LEMURIA, DAY 0

King Hydros held the hairband of Mia Utopia, the most powerful white mage girl in the world and the first Pope of the Heresies, who had been slain at great cost to everybody by a massive suicide magic attack powered by Kraden smashing the combined Super Mourning Moon and Third Sun and a ton of ancient superweapons and gods and legendary powers and demons and magic and eldritch madness and otherworlds and Iris knows what else into her at the near-conclusion of the Apocalypse at the apex of Armageddon, destroying a huge chunk of Osenia and Tundaria from the fallout jet's tertiary exhaust trees grazing Weyard.

Summoning her was a bad idea. But they were in it to win, and his mastery of Mercury psynergy and esoteric magic was powerful enough to fuel her. Conservato stood at his side with Poseidon's crown. Lunpa with an old keepsake of Babi's. A few similarly powerful Lemurians stood behind them, ready with Rief's glasses, Piers' headwear, and an oar once wielded by Yepp with the instructions to reach Lemuria engraved on it.

Marissa Sarissa was first, one of the greatest ice dancers in Lemuria, who prided herself on finesse. She was very Lemurian, but her short teal hair was dyed to be a bit darker than Mercury Adept standard, kept up by a white sweatband, and accented by her sue-ishly turquoise eyes. She'd dressed in an armored white dress just for the occasion of being selected as one of Lemuria's backup Masters, as Rief was about the weakest spirit they could catalyze, in the Caster class they could mostly do themselves, but with her agility she'd probably be able to keep him in the defensive leagues with Mia. Besides, they needed a proof of concept first.

Rief was summoned simply, there on the ground all dazed. Sarissa helped him up and lead him off to the side to ask about habits and stuff, and went 'ooh' at the pattern of her command seals.

Aaron of Bluewall was one of Lemuria's best knight-adepts, a much more cyan-haired tall and knightly figure with a spear and tower shield, but so easily seasick he'd been kept on home guard all these years. Oh well, you needed boatloads of magical energy and not necessarily the ability to avoid vomiting profusely when on boats to be a master, so as long as he was belowdecks with a suitable exit port it's not like Piers couldn't just use him for energy and not much else.

He summoned Piers and then got queasy thinking about boats, causing Piers to rush over fresh from Avalon to help him get to a bathroom, much to Conservato's consternation and Hydros' embarrassment.

Someone known only as 'the old man of the sea', a part-merfolk waterbreathing Mercury adept who had met Yepp quite a few times generations ago, summoned that sailor without incident and met him as an old acquaintance.

Lunpa called back Babi and met him as a friend with tears of joy.

Conservato harrumphed and summoned Poseidon Himself, who roared dramatically but then rather than being Berserker was Lancer and just sort of flopped over out of the summoning array to get in that awesome Lemurian water. Hydros topped this underwhelming display by summoning Mia.

Mia. Mia was summoned. She existed. And bowed.

"I'm back." she said simply. "Let's get this war started."

"Only a few servants to go before we do that, me..." Mia said to herself in the sitting room.

Ramses was called by a bandit who had nearly been killed for being declared Angra Mainyu, like a narrowly evaded other version.

And Kraden...Kraden was called by the maddest force of all. Wielding the Wheat Sword and the Gate of Babylon, Kraden king of gods descended into the world through the wily machinations of the Dullahan in Anemos Sanctum.

It was go time. Jenna announced the holy grail war was on by telepathic call, and to call her psychically should any mess arise.

"Have fun trying to kill each other, everybody." she concluded, and shot a psynergy flare into the sky, narrowly missing the Wise One, who glared at her only to get flipped off with a smile by Jenna, causing Ulysses to burst into laughter.

So it begins. But what are the plans, and who are these people? Who do we want to do first, and what are the plans?

Well, first thing, each team should probably either hold a strategy meeting(assuming they didn't do that already) or leave their respective unreachable locations(except Prox). Because let's be honest, Lemurians and Proxians would have a very hard time reaching the moon, Proxians and Anemosians won't ever get into Lemuria, and Prox are basically screwed.

:mia: Reaching Anemos isn't impossible because given that Ivan and Sheba reached Anemos beforehand in the middle of an apocalypse it's apparently not impossible to build a rocket plane or something on stupidly short notice, and Lemuria's gotten the whole Sea of Time thing fixed by blasting some rocks out of the way and/or the Mercury Clan Undersea Rivers simply in order to access anything in a reasonable matter. Besides, it would probably be to their advantage to be inaccessible because attrition or one of the Berserkers getting more uncontrollable might interfere.

:alex: Strategy meetings are being held: do you in the meta have any particular strategic recommendations for any side?
LEMURIA, DAY 0

"Scarlet Devil Mansion." Mia intoned, muttering the activation poem in the subtitle where the narrative wouldn't be listening. "I'm not going to bother testing out your base security given that the Sea of Time isn't as obstructive anymore and the Anemosians can fly anyway. We'll use my fortress, I don't know if anybody but the most uncontrollable and annoying options are gonna pack much in the Anti-Fortress department but Piers is on our side so the big cannon at least isn't, and that was about the biggest we had on our side."

"Where the hell did you get this?!" most of the Masters said in varying forms. The Servants on the other hand just sort of shrugged and assumed she'd gotten it through something too stupid to make sense of.

"So. Strategy." she turned to King Hydros, adjusting her recently replaced head accessory while wondering whether Hydros was just kidding about the whole lemurian draught having an eventual limit in theory thing. "You're the king and team leader. Explain stuff."

Let's see... Taking the kind of servants they have, I'd assume Anemos would stay back and observe, since they have a bunch of casters and an archer, mostly. They'd probably end up sending Sveta as decoy to blow things up somewhere and watch how the other factions react, since mad Sveta probably wouldn't enjoy staying back and watching and you don't want that turning on you from boredom and anger.

Meanwhile, Prox having nothing but knight classes and 2 berserkers would probably choose a more straight forward assault kind of strategy, seeing how assassins and casters are better suited for sneaky tactics, trying to beat them at their own game would put Prox at a huge disadvantage. Blasting through is probably the safest choice for them.

As for Lemuria, maybe hit and run tactics, since they have riders, a caster and an assassin? I don't know, their team seems like the most balanced, so they can do whatever, really.

Not sure what you had planned for the additional servants, though. they're kinda out of the loop for me, so I really don't know what they would, or even could, do.

DOWNGATE, ANEMOS THUNDER PARISH, DAY 0

The Anemos Team stood there in the bronze-plated halls of the Downgate assembly, mostly in the obscuring gold-tinted purple-adorned 'be as generic as possible' robes of their respective priesthoods, demarcated only by those priesthoods' symbols and the vague spiritual clouds of their Servants. Except Curer Pabiola, in loud grating green, riding the hulking Sveta to the teleport platform.

"May you do well, Queen Sveta Czamaral of Morgal." Yegelos said in blessing.

"I still can't get over the fact Faro is a girl." Hoabna said. "She even sounded like one in the request!"

"You weren't listening." Yegelos reminded him sarcastically. "You're stuck with her for the war unless a better option pops up, and those aren't available."

"Whatever." the hero of Shamankind dismissed the hero of Anemos. "You do you, crazy beastwoman."

Sveta responded with a roar and Pabiola with a laugh as the teleport circle gated them to the surface.

Within moments a few mountains of the Balloo Range that had survived the Golden Sun and the Apocalypse a generation after were destroyed by a completely surprise 'earthquake' that was more 'singular blast'. And also a berserking Sveta was there.

Everyone was used to Pabiola's demonic feats of destruction. Except, of course, for everybody besides Anemos.

NORTHERN REACHES SOUTH OF PROX, DAY 0

The world shook, as if a hole was blown in it. An avalanche happened. The large amount of Mars adepts as part of the Prox Team both masters and servants blew it up from a safe distance and a higher elevation.

"Wonder what the hell caused THAT." Saturos said. "My bet is it's an enemy Servant. Anybody detect presences?"

Richard checked the narrative briefly, reading over the previous parts of the post.

"No." the cloaked figure said. "It's almost at the other end of the world."

"Huh." Alex said, ruffling Isaac's hair from the height advantage of an on-demand free Hover effect and the psynergy supply advantages of having the complete Golden Sun in his body so that he could afford to keep Isaac manifest without incurring a notable expense even to his psynergy regeneration.

"Wait." Adder said.

"You mean something caused an avalanche from the other side of the world?!" Aya finished.

"It's plot bull." Alex smoothly covered in a way that was quite clear he was abusing Jupiter on weird conceptual levels to handwave over it. "I bet Mia-"

A snowball fell from the heavens and landed on Alex. It began snowing. Big snowing.

Richard punched a little bit behind him and to his right, and then slammed the camer-OW!!

"Clear Skies going up now!" Bert shouted, then spawned a whirlwind and airblasted the area around and above him, disrupting the freak weather. "What the hell was that?!"

"Freaky Fate stupidity." Alex said.

SCARLET DEVIL MANSION, SKIES OF LEMURIA, DAY 0

The world below shook slightly, a singular tremor. Mia glanced at the sea from the boundaries of her substituted reality at the edge of the island where the recreated misty lake met the sky and fell to the sea, which gently rolled with a gentle wave, more as if the essence of force had reverberated through the world because of a damaging blow dealt to it somewhere than an earthquake.

"The hell was that?" Piers said, glancing over her shoulder at the rifty mess.

Mia punched the past. In the future.

"Garbage in multiple directions." she said. "Anemos has played their hand, unless Prox is really, really fast. Let's talk strategy now, Hydros. We delayed long enough by flying everyone up to the mansion first so they won't try to orbital or colony drop the city proper without having it be a pointless waste."

"Let's just react to things as they come and then hit-and-run whatever enters the area, even if that area's on the move." Hydros said, laying out his battle plan in some floating spheres of colored water. "We've got a durable manor and two boats that can sail over anything one way or another, so that's 3 mobile fortresses even if the first's usually slow enough to outrun for a few minutes. Poseidon still has his divineshield, so that means Conservato's a prime target as Poseidon will tank anything short of defense-piercing-specialist or really high power noble phantasms."

Hydros glanced at the roster, then muttered something about 'team balance' before stating a plan in full.

"Alright, let's go for a buddy system. Poseidon and Yepp will be our striking team: Poseidon's nigh-invincible and Yepp's ridiculously fast. Have both Conservato and the old man of the sea on Yepp's boat while keeping Poseidon as trident and shield. Piers and Babi will team up so that they can do some assassinations on the down-low. Lunpa and Babi both have the skills to keep Piers' weakness to being detained from being too damaging and might be able to pull off a master-kill. Make sure Aaron has somewhere to vomit his guts out in peace, and don't go light on the healing spam or cure-seasickness psynergies. Make sure to bring lots of the draught with you. At any rate, Rief can stick his territory on Mia's to fortify the area more properly."

"I...I'm not sure that's how the Caster jar ability works." Rief spoke quietly.

"We'll do it anyway." Mia said. "Babi's Youth Potion Fanatic skill might actually come in handier for kills than you think. Next Scooby Snack right there."

"What in Iris' name is a Scooby Snack?" Conservato inquired conservatively.

"Nothing relevant." she dodged the question with, before reading over Hydros' shoulder at hastily scrawled battle plans. "As far as Lemuria Strikers. Poseidon, you're like mostly invincible. You and Yepp go check out that disturbance in...tremorsense says Balloo range area. Whatever it is might have the power to break your shield without a key item, but honestly if they're fielding that with the psynergy to back it we're screwed anyway and we'll throw Alex's team at 'em first. Hydration, that okay?"

Hydros nodded.

"Right then. Off with you four." he ordered, hand-waving the giant merman, the head of the Senate, a fishman, and a master sailor off into a silly trip to Weyard Australia. "I'm not going to send military backup for any group by the way, we'll need them defending Lemuria itself."

"And can't you just call me Hydros?" he added toward Mia as Yepp's boat, additional party members stowed away, flew off at speeds that were just barely subsonic, before breaching the sound barrier far enough away that it wouldn't be an issue for Lemuria.

"It's funnier this way." she said. "Speaking of funny things, Boatmurdered. Piers, Bluewall, Babi, Lunpa, you all go off in the general direction of Prox. Preferably make a pit stop at New Morioh somewhere on Angara, as Isaac likes Alex about as much as I do and is so thoroughly annoyed about it he's willing to sacrifice his shot at being the wisher on the Grail and leaked to me in Avalon that New Morioh's Alex's planned first move to gather a real army, and one that doesn't need psynergy above magic resistance to do any real damage to a Servant. Torture Alex as brutally as possible, killing acceptable and recommended if you can make it hurt first or if Isaac gets involved, and he probably will because Alex is fast with the barking orders thing. Bonus points for slow breaking to pieces and being as invasive as possible before Isaac gets involved, try dismembering the arm with the command seals on it to error the connection or go for the throat and jaw so he can't issue them. The rest are irrelevant, but since their team's all knight classes and berserkers you want to get in quickly and quietly without getting their attention, murder Alex while he's alone, and get the hell out before you're shot down by his friends, family, and travel buddies. Taking down Alex takes out one of their power-players, and against a full roster of some of the strongest in the world on either end of the equation that matters. Be wary about the cloaked dude though, seems to be wielding an overpowered book or something and always hangs out with Alex."

Piers shrugged and manifested his Lemurian ship, praying that the Counter Seasickness psynergy spam wouldn't deplete Aaron's reserves before they got anywhere.

CONTIGO, DAY 0 TO DAY 1 TRANSITIONAL NIGHT

Meanwhile in Contigo, Kraden blasted his way out of Anemos Sanctum and ran off flying away on a rainbow waving the Wheat Sword like a baton, the Great Dullahan clinging to the legs of his Servant for dear life. They had a Sveta to fight.

MT. ALEPH, DAY 1 JUST-AFTER-MIDNIGHT

Ulysses sorted a large number of floating ofuda, calculating battle plans while the Wise One glared over his shoulder.

"We have no way of taking down everybody, even with your cataclysm eye beams." the mage concluded, calculating projections among the floating squares.

"I told you that hours ago." Jenna said, reading an anachronistic book about how to build the devices necessary for an industrial revolution and where to go from there to construct modern and even futuristic technologies.

"And you shared the calculations." Ulysses confirmed. "I've actually just been playing Solitaire for the past few hours because I thought the Wise One got the point."

The Wise One continued glaring. "So THAT's why the Queen of Hearts kept changing symbolism!"

"Look, we should just wait." Ulysses said. "The two of us probably can't take a full team, but we can wait until they're separated and take down either end of a singular master-servant pair together. We can just chill up here for a few weeks and wait for a lethal Servant collision to kick in, then wipe out who we need to in order to get first wish right as the numbers line up for us to grab an Akasha victory."

"Up it to months." Jenna said, turning a page dismissively. "You're fighting all-stars, who are working in teams, who are way too defensive players to even conside-"

She remembered someone just blew up a mountain today, and Lemuria's Riders were supersonically headed in roughly opposite directions. Also, Kraden was in this war.

"Nevermind. Cut it down to days. Maybe even just hours."

SULHALLA DESERT UNDERGROUND, DAY 1 EARLY MORNING

The failed sacrifice lay in the buried palace. Failed Sacrifice. What a wonderful title. It'd make a nice name. He sighed with relief that the palace enchantments kept the place secure, even thousands of years after the fall of the final dynasty. He slept on a bed while Ramses floated about him in spiritual form, dreaming of possible futures and certain pasts. The ritual had been scrawled that many years ago, interrupted by a titanic tempest lizard at the most awkward of moments, just waiting for a suitable Adept to pick it up...What an unusual coincidence. And it had lead him down through the sand, to here. Lovely.

It was time to revive a dead nation's bones of sand and mummies.

Regular Adept #18

I get the feeling days or hours might be right considering you just sent in the destructive crazies right from the start and changed the lay of the land already. At least, hopefully it won't last weeks or months or most of Weyard will probably be blown up.
