It was a bright and sunny day as everything once again went to Hell. Roboranger Modman Orange had pretty much given up on any reasonable measure of sense from the array of villains they were fighting. He'd seen the other members of his first team get utterly destroyed by some of these, only barely surviving due to distributed components and a few extra Power Knight armor pieces he'd scrounge-modded into his morpher. So he'd ended up on one mess of a leftovers' team with Psycho Yellowpink's ...plant-spider-wasp-nature thing, Hyperwitch Teal's super fairy, Justice Purple Green's...courthouse thingy, and Force Silver's battleships. Great. What even happened here? The Disunited Army of Evil, though spending the vast majority of their resources fighting Magitopia United and a few dozen space teams at once, had taken a good chunk of the planet, with Uriel's Alembic being the last ranger base for Njord City at one of the key border defenses. And now was one of the times that was a serious defense. Wielding the sword of the fallen Hackerman Blue, he charged into bad writing against a creature whose power was literally defying description. It was an incomprehensible blob, but at least it was damaged by hitting it with a sword, so nice. Cue the theme song. A disjointed power rangers' fusion, cobbled together from a few disparate sources. Roborangers, Psycho Spacerangers, the Hyperwitches, Battle Barristers and a few pieces of Team Tarot, Pseudoelementals, a few shards of music and images for each survivor and pieces of those that made it from those that didn't. One of the magical girls who formed the second line of defense atop a wall behind him riddled the indescribable with arrows of light, knocking it back in a burst of pyrotechnics. Modman called back a thanks for the support as the monster went giant after being felled, which the second line gladly took as an excuse to back off and switch to artillery, peppering the unspeakable from below. As a part-Knight and tireless android with enough zords to form a megazord on his own, he was a better soloist than most Rangers, so he let the others deal with other fronts to take out threats the more casual milieu of amateur mages and soldiers forming the standard defenses were having trouble with. Modpack Megazord Techno-Zenith 2, ASSEMBLE! The cutscene-like speed-burst of bits of other zords being assembled from the morphing grid onto his first Geckozord played fast even for a transform-summon, Modman in no mood for this. Immediately on landing in the disjointed cockpit, he unloaded the TechBlaster Junior, exhausting most of the base energy reserve in a poor imitation of what the original Techno-Zenith could have accomplished, but blasting the thing that couldn't be described out of existence. He flung a few bursts of lightning at distant ordinary mook-tanks before unsummoning Geckozord and company, intent on letting it regenerate as much energy as possible as he landed gently among the flurry of magical girl artillery on the wall. "You're needed more at Section Quarry!" a commander magical girl, the one who had saved him trouble with her laser-crossbow, shouted into her gem from the distant end of the wall, the communication ringing in his auditory processing nodes. "Go, hurry, wish you the best!" Looked like the others needed his help. Again. Great, just great. Edited by Nedben, Apr 27 2017, 03:13 AM.

Hyperwitch Teal was having a bad day. Anastasia Smirnoff did not want to think. She let the sparkling fairies and the grid do the thinking for her. Anastasia Smirnoff was not here and she did not want to be here anyway. Hyperwitch Teal was losing. Mystic Fairy was small for a zord and easy to extend sustain for regular battles, ironically giving her much more latitude for smiting small-forms with a size advantage and pestering big ones by being a tiny fluttering attacker, but this was ridiculous. She had been smashing at an unoriginal pure-fighting dual-wielding swordsman for several hours now (most of the battle), and she'd been batted away in blasts of violent laserfire at least a dozen times, cutting into his flesh with bursts of shimmering light right back. Ash and dust clouded the place, weapons of kaiju-hunting magical girls strewn around the battlefield from those who hadn't lasted this long or had been forced to retreat. Sea Goddess Trident: Amphitrite Beam! A weapon pattern spell she'd found scrawled in the spellbook of one of the fallen teams they'd looted the bases of on reconnaissance. Better at pure violence than most of the Hyperwitches' arsenal, but much like it, it barely knocked her opponent over and razed away a few more pieces of flesh. The thing was durable. Anastasia Smirnoff was just really tired of everything. Hyperwitch Teal was more frustrated at her struggle proving slow and painful. Even with a zeo fragment providing her morpher with a steady trickle of power, it was just irritatingly close. She had been blasting with precision for the better part of the hour, riddling the enemy with holes and burn marks. Zeo Massed Axes, Blue Wave! The swordsman had almost caught her again that time, but was forced to parry and knock away a wave of energy axes. Mystic Fairy did a few backflips, precious distance closer to the wall she was defending, finished with another Amphitrite Beam to push the opponent back again. And so they danced another round. The refreshing flow of blue energy surged ever so slowly as the struggle was prolonged, and it had reached the point where even the dozens of trident shots that close barely dented her reserves. The swordsman huffed, bleeding and burnt in dozens of locations, finally beginning to slow down. Amphitrite Beam. At last, the swords shattered and she got a near-uninterrupted shot at something vital. In a burst of white light, the swordsman was no more. ... Mystic Fairy was unsummoned. It was everything Teal, no, Anastasia, could do to stay morphed. Teal stood there for a moment, staring out into the distance as the feeling of death and discorporated evil hovered. Then she turned, and walked towards the gate in the Wall. Anastasia sighed, feeling so lifeless. "You're needed at Section Quarry." the voice of a magical girl rung out over comms. "Hurry!" Gods condemn and perish in turn. Hyperwitch Teal jumped the several dozen meters to the top of the wall in one bound, jumping several more times with the same intensity to reach the quarry. This was gonna be a long day. |

Justice. The law, cause and effect, fairness, truth. Red reversal (more like green-purple). Unfairness. Lack of accountability. Dishonesty. Who was he kidding here? Purgatory maybe. What is a judge in a world without law? A stopgap against sin, who will only last a single life, barely able to pen down the mess with judgement and hammer. Who was justice in purple and green? A miserable pile of morpher-parts and ideology, scrounged up from a man who didn't matter anymore. Knight Delano, who ironically had been knighted long after that name had been bestowed, wept a little inside at the loss of the world he'd loved. It was so hard to keep fighting. So the Courtzord did it for him, an abomination of green intermixed with purple just like him. The guns of the courtguards the thing built, robotic enforcers just like the others, had cleared this area of enemy mooks again. A magical girl voicecalled. "Relocate to Section Quarry, we need you ASAP!" Maybe he could at least be useful. Rockets engaged, blasting off again. Force Silver didn't have time for this. Zeo Mystic Blue: Mer-Fairy's Blessing! A blur of blue energy washed over Battleship Megazord Silver, the light of fairies healing, fixing, and restoring lost energy. Hyperwitch Teal had made it. "Welcome back." he said over comms, "I could use a 'lil help here." he said, Section Quarry littered with the bodies of generic foes, with some shark-monster still standing. Mystic Fairy said nothing but "Amphitrite Beam!" directed at the enemy, which caused it to make a disgusted noise. Barely did much against it. The Geckozord appeared. "Hello, Modman Orange, followup!" TechBlaster Junior, declared under breath. Wow, team was suffering today. Courtzord pulled a dynamic entry, smashing into the head of the shark and then frontflipping like a ranger to join its allies. Okay, that was hilarious, and he had to stifle laughter to not- Psycho Yellowpink sprouted from below the shark, simply titan-sized like their enemies or Mystic White, blasting her sharky foe into the sky with a flurry of blasts and then letting it burn in a blossom of gold and red-white. When the flames cleared, the team stood assembled. "Leftover rangers, open fire!" Force Silver commanded unnecessarily, then appended "Team attack!" to be specific and useful. A barrage of disjointed special effects combined together, from various ends and power supplies of the morphing grid, becoming one beam that eradicated the shark monster in an underwhelming instant. ...It was over. Force Silver was unsurprised by this. His new teammates were survivors of some of the worst the enemy had to throw at them, many of them full megazord bearers or carrying extra equipment in their own right, so stomping whatever they were faced with once fully coordinated and not facing any special characteristics was easy. With the last general down, many of the field-strewn messes retreated. The siege of the week or so was over, as the forces of Disunited proved their name in effectively collapsing and fleeing in panic without a coordinating general. "Wanna grab a bite to eat?" he jokingly suggested. "No." Knight and Anastasia replied, while Orange and Yellowpink didn't even bother replying. Edited by Nedben, May 6 2017, 09:00 PM.
