Posted ImageName: Sapphire 'O'Connor' du Pont
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Element: Jupiter

Proficiencies

Build: Warrior
Weapons: Spear, Bow&Arrow, Whip
Combat Role: Striker, but can reliably Jack of All Trades via support birds and Tamer psynergies and has partial Controller elements among several birds.

Abilities

Class: Birdkeeper > Falconer > Aerie Maestra > Sky Wolf
Spells:

Sapphire has mastered the Trainer's Whip, and may switch in and out of that class series in the time it takes her to attune/detune to it, but prefers her attack birds.

Lotta Spells

Skills: Surprisingly few. However, is great with animals and a talented tamer and trainer. Competent if not particularly special in veterinary and sapient-medical fields, and in a pinch can lead people in addition to animals. Great at panicking on tests and cracking under unnatural or sustained mental pressure. Can speak pigeon and a few other animal languages, mostly bird and inter-animal speech. Can act as a free electrical generator or power a psynergy absorber forever due to her divine gift of free lightning.

Fighting Style: Beast keeper. Fends off enemies with ranged melee weapons or full ranged weapons, letting her beasts do the work.

When fighting with a less than full party, Sapphire may substitute certain birds and djinn in her arsenal as party members. Using a substitute member is generally much less efficient than using a regular Adept, but can provide her a numerical advantage even if her allies are out of play.

Grand Gryphon: Summon a Grand Gryphon, lord of griffinkind, as a summon/spare party member. As a one-round summon it inflicts massive jupiter damage with a high chance to seal, as a battle-length summon it provides Impact, High Impact, Guard, Protect, Ward, Sleep, Resist, Break, Bind, Impair, Debilitate, Weaken, Enfeeble, physical attacks, and Jupiter attacks. Recommended to provide additional Jupiter damage and stat buff/debuff functions. The Lord of Griffins joined the army after realizing his people were too scattered and needed serious organization to de-feralize properly, leaving the administration of various griffon mountain-posts and the air force to the Council of Wise Gryphons.

Icy Clay Gargoyle: Summon a clay-dusted Ice Gargoyle as a summon/spare party member. As a one-round summon it combines frost breath and gaia energy to inflict both Mercury and Venus damage to all of your enemies. As a battle-length summon it provides Venus and Mercury attacks plus basic physical attacks and a Jupiter-based scream. Recommended to add additional Mercury or Venus damage. This gargoyle is an agent of the Church of Procne who leads many of the lesser gargoyles.

Psycho Healer Nymph: Summon a fairy gone medic-crazy with massive alchemical power to act as a summon/spare party member. As a one-round summon it dumps about 5 randomly selected beneficial psynergies on allies. As a battle-length summon acts as a Supporter with Controller and Defender elements using randomly chosen positive psynergy on allies and throwing randomly selected consumables where they would be useful. This particular nymph joined Sapphire's army when the Tame psynergy restored enough coherence to her mind that she felt like continuing the cause in hopes of helping others like her.

Djembe: This Jupiter djinn of music loves playing instruments (especially drums) and often provides background music without being asked. When unleashed in battle, they restore allies PP by about 10% and HP by 5% with that healing beat, and will then revive downed adepts to 1% HP by being so noisy it wakes the dead. As a backup party member they are a standard fought jupiter djinn and can use their Unleash as an action which also absorbs their next turn as they recalibrate not on a body and not for summoning purposes, and have the normal Jupiter psynergies available to a jupiter djinn in combat. They are not normally Set to Sapphire due to her full configuration for a tetraelemental class, but still follow her around anyway. Djembe is a fan of adventurers and due to his ability to rescue downed adventurers from the far side of the brink to the near side of the brink or top up flagging reserves he can keep large sections of Sapphire's army in relatively decent condition.

Warcry: This Jupiter djinn of screeching loves being really loud and will yell at people to get into the fight. When unleashed in battle, they increase all allies' attack and slightly increase their power in their native element. They are a servant of Procne.

Character Details

Height: 5'8''
Body: Fairly generic
Personality: Sort of cooly disinterest. Gets excited and happy around and about animals. Not that bright unless she's wasting psynergy on it, tending to operate on instinct and others' instructions, such as the quest she was born for. Has a fairly decent moral compass but loves leaving the actual details of knowing things to her subordinates, expecting and making it clear to people that they are to correct her when she is in the wrong.
Bio: Sapphire du Pont was born and raised raised in a temple-town to Procne atop one of Weyard's great peaks in the Kibombo Mountains, as part of a mixed lineage of the deposed that had fled there fairly recently and the sky-priests who had lived there for generations. She in particular was born as Procne's champion and agent in the world, sent to unite the flying races under the banner of Procne herself and to a lesser extent stop alchemy wars from resulting in destroying the world by slapping some sense into those who would rather it not have any. Seeing as she was not particularly good at much beyond talking animals and training them to do things including rather hilariously failing the strenuous examinations of higher priestesshood, she assembled an army of birds (primarily pigeons) for her cause and flew as a swan to the Gryphon Capital, an ancient city atop a nearby mountain. Through an intercession by Procne herself, the Gryphon national government was persuaded to start acting like a government again, forming an alliance with the Temple of Procne and soon assorted faerie courts and other monster governments.

Now that she has mostly completed her adventure of reunification, she and her army of birds act as the elite special forces of the Gryphon Confederation, voyaging between the gryphon-ruled mountaintops of Weyard as a legendary flock of dangerous birds, in her spare time and peacetime chilling with her team flying around and acting as a Psynergy Generator by zapping a lightning rod generator a lot. Given that most mountain heights are habitable, even self-sustaining, to those not high-altitude birds primarily through the efforts of psynergy often provided by special machinery erected by the inhabitants (an extended part of her 'alchemical generator failsafe' secondary mission), the Gryphon Confederation has no survival-critical reasons to fight anyone and thus acts as a neutral party for other groups and attempts to restrain smaller and/or more local problems like monster infestations, banditry and other crimes, disease, poverty, or other issues.

Much of Sapphire's worktime is spent patrolling the mountain passes and Confederation-held territory to hunt down banditry and keep monsters from attacking travelers, often training squads of adepts in the arts of monster hunting and keeping warbeasts to act as roving safety bands, emergency response teams, or free escorts through dangerous territory.

Because of her initial role in foundational diplomacy, she is often sent to coordinate setting up ambassadorial positions between the Gryphon Confederacy and other nations, as well as resolving the border (dis)agreements that involve having speckles of neutral territory and towns atop otherwise unusable mountain ranges.
