![]() Theme Song: [yt-audio]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCiK7XBm0qI[/yt-audio] Name: Miss Gaap Beatrice Race: Demon (fragmentary) Gender: Female Age: Unknown. Well over 1000 Element: Mercury Height: Around 5'6'', ~170cm? Body: Lightweight, blatantly feminine Build: Fairly mixed between fighter and caster even for an Adept...despite not being an adept. Really, more fitting for a boss enemy...Tends Caster for hard calculations, but their physical attacks are not to be scoffed at. Weapons Proficiencies: Does not normally use weapons beyond punches, kicks, an umbrella for style, and magic, but is passable with pretty much everything, especially umbrellas, tridents, spears, staves/ankhs, fists/claws, and most swords. A demon has a lot of time to learn wielding, after all... Class: Gap Demon -> Liberal Arts Major -> Legion Commander -> President of Hell. Centers on making up for only being a minor fragment of Gaap with extra spiritual power. Usually stays at President of Hell level even after unleashspam due to simply being able to call up replacement supports from portals. Abilities: Miss Gaap has a slew of battle abilities. In addition to the demonic powers of Gaap-as-a-whole, portal summoning powers, and elementary Endless Magic, she also possesses some Mercury and Jupiter psynergies and the ability to summon djinni as well as regular demons. She has only basic Venus powers as a demon and commander of spirits, and does not really have any Mars skills, despite what the fires of Hell might imply. The mysterious psynergies of the alleged 'dark adepts' and 'light adepts' are also within her power, though the former more than the latter for obvious reasons. To be written. -Lightning Kick Barrage: Delivers a flurry of Jupiter-aligned physical strikes to a target, equivalent to several uses of a physical attack but with a Jupiter damage type and in a single turn. -Call Series, Undead Curse, Psy Drain, Dire Inferno, Demon Sign: as series -Backup Spirit: Unleashes a random djinni effect. 75% Mercury, 10% Jupiter, 5% Venus, 5% Mars, 5% something else (maybe a consumable item or a random ally demon). Only small PP cost to portal the djinni in. Small chance that they will simply join the party for the battle rather than unleashing and retreating. Out of combat summons a relevant spirit from Gaap's army to resolve any out-of-battle utility psynergy problems nearby. -Portal Eject: Opens a gap beneath the enemy, shoving them away from the battle with random kidnapped falling rocks as a parting gift to add injury to insult. Minor Venus damage, high chance of wasting the target's next turn as they have to get back to the battlefield. Low PP cost. Out of combat can be used to move objects around through gaps, including the party, sort of like a combination of Warp and Teleport. -Endless Magic: Revives a downed ally with a very small amount of HP or restores a medium amount of HP and PP to them with butterflies and clears status effects. No PP cost but most likely will cause Gaap to waste a second turn action refocusing on the battle, as she is not a professional at it. - Flood Sign "Hell Freezes Over": Barrages the enemy team with a hostile downpour and wave, then freezes and explodes it for immense Mercury damage to all enemies. Very PP expensive but capable of clearing entire waves of enemies relatively quickly. - Waterspout: Deals a moderate amount of Jupiter damage then a moderate amount of Mercury damage to a few enemies with a water tornado. High damage distribution among targets. Average PP cost. - Firehose: Sprays an enemy with a high-pressure jet of water for Mercury damage. Small chance to waste the target's next turn by pushing them away from the battlefield if it hits. Low PP cost. - Demonic Defense: As Defend, but neutralizes the first and only the first attack against Gaap per use, and inflicts pitifully small Mars damage by flinging fiery vengeance as a counterattack to whoever attacks until the defend wears off. Resembles the traditional Umineko wall-sphere shields of a defensive touch to change party members. - Illusion Claw: As Chalis' Scornful Caress, but with a smaller damage boost and a chance to Delude instead. - Demon Spear: Attack boost, as series. - Darkness of Witches: Small heal to party each turn for 3 turns. Reduces damage to each member in ally party by 25% while active. Cloaks the allied party in purple healing fantastical clouds. Dispelled by Break. - Doom Affliction: Inflicts several random status effects and debuffs on enemy party. Average PP cost, usually tries to inflict roughly 3 random problems per enemy. - The Body Is Being Torn Apart: As Doom Affliction, but with very high physical damage as well. Very high PP cost, requires President of Hell classtier (meaning unusable for several turns while recovering djinni after a djinn blast/storm) - Devotion Boost: Boosts the attack, defense, resistance(s), luck, and agility of an Adept by 12.5% each for the usual length of a buff. Requires Liberal Arts Major classtier or higher. Dispelled by Break. - (Element) Impalement: Opens a gap to a source of (element) and sends it at an enemy target for moderate (element) damage. Low PP cost but also low damage distribution. - Self-Educate: Analyzes an enemy or ally to report its relative statistical profile and general information about it. - Ankhol Sign "Trident": Jupiter 120% attack similar to the Trident of Ankohl that also doubles as a single-target Break and a 10% chance to Psynergy Seal the enemy. - Demonology "Hellgate": Summons one of the demonology-origin summons (Zagan, Haures, Moloch) or calls a random demon enemy type as an ally to do something useful. High PP cost. - Evasion Battler: Buffs a party member's agility by 12.5% for the duration of the battle, as well as markedly increasing the chance of dodging attacks. Dispelled by Break. Low PP cost. Combat Role: Jack of All Trades. Battle style: Very aggressive and tricky, disorienting the opponent with random portals and kicking them around if possible in order to leverage her advantages. Usually resorts to further use of power only when desperate or otherwise serious, and will flee to protect themselves if defeat is imminent. As an enemy, her style is highly reliant on the nature of the enemy team; if she is unsure, she will aquanuke first and ask questions later. Against a clearly and confirmedly vulnerable or seemingly easily shaken enemy party (often wasting a few turns or some prebattle time to cast Self-Educate to learn about foes, particularly their weaknesses) she will try to get them to sell their souls and join her hellish army as a single act of 'mercy' before launching into demonic toying with abuse of Portal Eject and basic physical attacks if she believes they would be a valuable addition anyway. Against decently strong parties that actually stand a chance, she's learned her lesson from George and will brutally storm the enemy party with long-range psynergy strikes or Flood Sign "Hell Freezes Over" before they can do anything more than initial hostilities. In general against lesser foes who can't even reliably damage her she will playfully kill them by kicking them around quickly and abusing portals, but against stronger foes who do not get crushed by the initial freezing over of Hell she plays more defensively, buffing herself and debuffing the enemy party while conjuring a small army of support demons and djinni to act as cannon fodder and distraction strikers. Personality: Very pleasant and interested in fashion with a strong side of casual with bouts of lewd joking or acting like a teenage girl on a shopping spree with friends. When seriously endangered reveals surprising levels of skill as a tactician and warrior. Likes to give people short nicknames. Bio: Weyard/piece-version: Gaap is a great demoness versed in witchcraft who comes from Hell/the inner depths of Weyard/somewhere/wherever it is summons chillax/etc. and commands water demons, an earl with several legions of demonkind at her command. She is aligned most with Mercury and slightly Jupiter but is not truly 'defined' by elemental heritage and possesses tolerable power in all of them, and rather than a traditional summon tablet djinni-powered-attack-call-and-go is summoned through a special rite for more sustained jaunts on Weyard, often bringing her army with her to wreak havoc as contracted. Meta-version: Gaap (ガァプ Gaapu?) is a demon with the power of gaps, holes that can reach almost anywhere. She is very fashionable and up-to-date on the latest trends. One of the 72 Great Demons, the 33rd highest ranking earl of the underworld, and also Beatrice's friend. She was brought from the Golden Land piece tray to the Great Battling Desert outside the realspace of Weyard by one of Nedben's pawns, and perhaps one day might be summoned to Weyard itself by her minions the water spirits to serve as a boss character or perhaps a miraculous defender against an army. In actuality she is only a fragment of Gaap composed of his feminine aspects, ability to ferry men from place to place, and as of recently their dominion over water demons and assorted other spirits, created by binding the mystery witch of 'things going missing' built by Beatrice with some demonological associations by Maria, then after the events of a certain Umineko: When They Cry ending, was brought forth from the piece tray and laced with Psynergy to provide the range capacity she hadn't been able to exploit originally. Out of boredom, she battled Mr. Spinel's new Sunrise Null Core form for a few minutes as part of Lord Nedben's retinue of modified characters, where she blocked several punches with lightning-kicks, unleashed a Mercury djinni, ran around the battlefield using gaps, and defended against red butterflies with a Jupiter Impalement blowing them away, but then was outsped by Emerald Power Inferno Shadow Style Mr. Spinel, and was forced to surrender by a sudden summons and Nedben having to leave as well as being apparently outmatched. When brought to test Weyards, in general she is often called down to devastate enemy armies with floods and her psynergy-armed legions, or provide support against a boss-type enemy. Rather than a traditional tablet summon with temporary calling by djinni or powerful devils, she is summoned and contracted in a traditionally fancy and sometimes expensive demon-summoning matter. For minor or near-effortless deals such as ferrying a group of people from one place to another and not bothering again she can often be paid off when summoned with simple fancy gifts as one would acquire on a shopping trip such as fine fashionable clothing or valuable presents, but for more important things or the extended effort of her, her earldom, or her legions will get into traditional demonic contract territory. Statistically, she is often on par with a summon guardian or fusion of strong adepts, but her extensive capabilities tend to make her a less predictably-stompable enemy even when faced with the immense power of a fusion, guardian, properly equipped party of Adepts, or Summon-level entity. Equipment: - Modified Mysterious Robe, which is really just a magically decorated Mysterious Robe that resembles the traditional attire of Gaap during the Rokkenjima Incident despite being just as defensible (even where it seems like nothing). Gaap has several style-centric variants of these, but usually keeps most of them back at the Golden Land to be borrowed with gaps whenever necessary. - Gap Maiden's Umbrella: A powerful weapon created by one of the great smiths of Hell in honor of a gap yokai, given to Gaap for thematic similarity reasons. It possesses 5 unleashes, one for each element and one that is non-elemental, that are basically a multi-target damage multiplier laser that may ignore 50% defense. - Divine Camisole - Demoness Heels: Surprisingly durable and dangerous shoes that magically fortify attack, agility, and defense. Gaap actually has several style-centric variants of these, but usually keeps most of them back at the Golden Land to be borrowed with gaps whenever necessary. - Clear Bracelet - Moon Ring - Countess' Hat: A stylish hat that provides extra resistance to all elements, bolstered Unleash chance, surprising amounts of defense, and light psynergy and HP regeneration. Gaap has several style-centric variants of these, but usually keeps most of them back at the Golden Land to be borrowed with gaps whenever necessary. Inventory: - 8x Great Devil's Food Cake: restores a very large amount of HP and PP to one ally plus 10% of each meter, as well as removing status effects. - 6x Hellfire Grenade: Deals Mars damage to multiple enemies. - 12x Profane Feather: Acts as the opposite of the Avoid psynergy, attracting enemies to a location or the party. Casting Avoid or using a Sacred Feather counteracts the effect if waiting for it to wear off is not feasible. Can be used on enemies to alert enemies to their presence and make stealth more difficult. - 30x Water of Life - Magibrain Glasses: A magical pair of glasses that function as a magical projection and communication device to some of Gaap's commander spirits (and Lord Nedben's retinue), allowing for private tactical planning conversations as well as more social calls or requests for help. Overall Strengths: Generally very high stats, impressive Mercury and Jupiter powers, has a backup army. Elemental weaknesses patched over by tolerable defense and resistance to everything. As a demon, emotional spectrum is easily controlled, especially when 'it's business time' kicks in. Overall Weaknesses: As a demon, is varyingly vulnerable to certain offensively-wielded 'holy' objects, certain artifacts associated with demon-slaying, and the 'divine'/angelic summons in particular, as well as anti-spiritual precautions such as exorcism effects or similar planar expulsion attempts potentially punting her back to Hell entirely provided sufficient magical strength is behind them. If psynergy sealed as Meta-Gaap, her original source character's weaknesses like gunfire, being turned into glass, and concentrated disbelief in her existence begin to take a toll and weaken her stats should they be used against her. Summons in general are actually fairly effective against her, seeing as %-of-maxhealth damage scaling overwhelms her massive HP anyway. Stat Play: Meanings are plastic and relative to each other. Ignores equipment/djinni boosts/etc. Is markedly post-adept and is at the very least a near-impossible bonus boss for as-far-as-reasonable-to-grind endgame groups of even 8 protagonist-y high-potential high-power adepts. HP: C PP: A ATK: B DEF: D General casting power: A General warding power/resistance: B AGI: A LCK: A Venus power: D Venus resist: B Mars power: D Mars resist: B Jupiter power: A Jupiter resist: A Mercury power: A Mercury resist: A Bonus points to whoever finds the unfunny joke.
