I know it's not very active around here but I talk about my crazy ideas so much that I feel I should come here and just make a thread already, huh. I'm the type who's willing to try anything so sometimes I just stick random stuff together and put it in my mouth. Anyways, everything I'm posting here has already been taste-tested by myself and I'll give them all a rating, huh.
Raw egg in your Ramen
Spoiler: click to toggle Most of the time people but boiled eggs in Ramen, but ever tried putting a raw egg in there? It adds a creamy feeling to the broth and the heat slowly cooks the egg which sinks to the bottom. The highlight is the end, when you're slurping up the broth and you get to slurp up the slimy cooked egg from the bottom with it. It's SO good, huh! I give this one a 4/5.
Pearl Spinel
Spoiler: click to toggle I made a separate thread for this one but I'll talk about it again anyways, huh. Basically, you take your basic white rice, it can be minute rice for all I care, and you pour maple syrup into it and stir it well. This part is optional but I like to add corn syrup and powdered sugar as well. It's kinda interesting and it tastes like some kind of dry oatmeal, but not as dry as actually dry oatmeal, if that makes any sense. It's not fantastic but it's pretty good if you wanna give it a taste. A solid 3/5 in my book.
Tamago Kake Gohan
Spoiler: click to toggle I didn't invent this nor have I taken any weird spin on it but I eat it so often and it isn't extremely common in the states that I'll mention it here. Basically, you cook your rice (again, it minute rice works) and you dig a little hole in the middle. That's when you take your raw egg and pour it into that hole and mix it up. It'll become golden brown and it has an interesting texture, but it goes down so easily and it tastes great. A lot of people like to put soy sauce in theirs, so I gave it a try but I prefer it plain. I'll consider making a Pāru Tamago Kake Gohan (which will be this mixed with the Pearl Spinel) and I'll tell you guys how it is. Either way, this is one of my favorites, and I like to eat it for breakfast on more relaxed mornings when there's no rush because you have to wait for the rice to cool and the egg to mix with it properly. This is a 5/5, no doubt, huh.
Pop Tart Ice Cream Sandwich
Spoiler: click to toggle The name is self-explanatory. You take two chocolate pop tarts and use them as the bread for the ice cream. I've found this works best with soft serve ice cream, otherwise, it's like eating a two separate pop tarts at the same time with a glob of ice cream in the middle, and I haven't tried toasting the pop tarts which might make this better or worse. Obviously, you don't have to use real pop tarts for this, I just used the Kroger brand "Frosted Toaster Treats" that they have for like a dollar. The only downside is that this is sugar overload, and that's coming from the guy who eats Nutella sandwiched between two chocolate chip waffles and calls it breakfast, so beware because when you're done eating it you'll probably feel a pit in your stomach, huh. This is a 4/5.
Waffle Sandwich
Spoiler: click to toggle On the subject of the Nutella sandwich, here you go, huh. It's really simple, you just take two waffles (I use the chocolate chip variation) and spread one of them with Nutella and sandwich them together. This is also sugar overload and I'm probably gonna contract all sorts of nasty diseases if I keep eating this crap but it's really good, huh. Another 4/5.
Pāru Tamago Kake Gohan Lv. EX
Spoiler: click to toggle This is... I don't even know how to describe it. Basically, make a Tamago Kage Gohan but add maple syrup, huh. I don't know why or how but this shares almost no qualities with either Tamago Kake Gohan or Pearl Spinel, huh. I can't even describe it, it's like... fluffy? Creamy? I dunno, huh, but either way it's a 5/5. I honestly prefer Tamago Kake Gohan without the syrup but this is still a good one too, huh. If you ever plan on trying Peral Spinel, do yourself a favor and add that raw egg, it'll go a long way.
That's all I've got for now, huh. We haven't had any active polls around here in a while either so you guys should vote on which one sounds the tastiest!
Pistachio Ice Cream Mtn. Dew Float
Spoiler: click to toggle This one's a treat! Pretty self explanatory, basically you make a root beer float where you put a scoop of ice cream in a cup and pour root beer over it, but the ice cream is pistachio and the root beer is actually Mountain Dew. Basically it tastes like you'd expect. It's like creamy mountain dew. Really good, a solid 4.5/5. NEWLY ADDED: Egg Waffle
Spoiler: click to toggle So,if an omlette is a pancake, that makes this the waffle, huh. Grab a waffle maker and decide what you're gonna put in it. I like to put hashbrowns and cheese in mine, huh. Anyways, put a layer of the stuff you want in, stick the egg on it, then place another layer on top, huh. Cook it like you would a waffle (clamping it together and cooking and all that) and viola, huh! It tastes like an omlette but it's crispier and easier to make, huh.
